We Loved this fryer. We have owned one other brand and this is one that gets Hot and stays Hot and cooks your fries crispy. We use it a amount of times a week. We have had it for about 4 years.

Our biggest issue with it is how hot the plug has gotten over time. We ultimately started plugging it into our oven outlet because we were concerned about a fire in the walls. The heat has recently melted the housing nearby the plug and has the capacity to practically burns your fingers when you unplug it for quite a while. We stopped using it a while ago and are searching for a new fryer. I don't think I will go Delonghi again simple because of what we consider to be a high risk of fire due to the heat of the plug in the socket. I would like something I can plug into the wall socket for the life of the machine.
